For lack of a fitting topic i describe what i wish to be incorporated in future updates.
It is already possible to split a backup into smaller pieces.
Now, my suggestion is that every successfully created chunk be considered as finished unit with its own accessibility modifier (for lack of better description of what i mean, hopefully you’ll understand), so the part files created up to a certain point remain accessible. If bad comes to worse and a huge backup should fail this would be not only a time-saver but also a protective measure for data that was already processed and successfully backed up.
I ask this because i ran in the exact situation where my PC failed, screen went blank, and all i could do was hard-reset the PC. This lost me 17 hrs and left me with unusable files, that CB didn’t recognize any longer …
Hopefully you take this into consideration and be able to implement it in some way.
