source code

is the source available?

CFP is closed-source and I don’t think they’ll open it.

its free; why do they need closed source then?

Hello White_Sorcerer. You must keep in mind that even though they choose to give this software away, they have NOT created a Public Domain software. But a FREE PRIVATE software.
Big difference. ;D

I guess we could ask the same question to other closed-source freeware, no?

Free doesn’t imply open source.

open source would make it great though, as then there could be no possibilities of malicious code which is very important in a firewall, probably the os too.

You have to trust what you use or there’s no point in using it at all.
