well i downloaded a game from torrent and i copied it to a flash drive. then suddenly comodo showed a message saying something is trying to access registry and ms dos (i forgot the exact process name). i dunno if its with the flashdrive or if its with the downloaded game. i thought it’s part of the game installation so i choosed ok + remember my answer.
then i found myself failing in game installation so i decided to quit the game. i opened the flash drive (local disk E) and it opened in another window (instead of parent window). i tried opening local disk C but it opens in another window too!
and another thing, my comodo firewall icon is missing in system tray. i tried scanning my flashdrive with ESET but it says kernel fail…forgot the message. i tried to format it but it fails too so i forced format it through command prompt and it succeed.
so my flashdrive is cleaned now. next i tried updating superantispyware but it cannot connect to internet (thought i am accessing firefox ATM). i tried updating iobit malware fighter but it failed too. ATM i am scanning these 2 programs to check if they can detect the virus.
i hit task manager and i cannot see cfp.exe there. i tried opening it from comodo folder but nothing happens.
so to summarize my problems:
missing comodo icon + cfp.exe
cannot update ESET, iobit.
cannot scan with ESET
local disk opens in new window
cannot system restore :((
PS: i have this pckah.pif when i open cfp.exe in comodo folder
EDIT: ok i have traced down the problem. apparently my local disk C autorun.inf is executing .pif commands. i tried to delte it from cmd but it says it is being used. i cannot open local disk C now. it shows open with dialog
i dun wanna reformat my OS yet. i have so many important documents and programs here :((
