1. What actually happened or you saw:
The comodo’s av signatures aren’t much good and could not detect some obfuscated malware’s(whose originals it could detect).
Also,the offline update size is quite big.
2. What you wanted to happen or see:
- Improved heuristics with less FPs,dynamic signatures such that less signatures could detect more variants of a known malware,even the obfuscated ones,without draining the system performance.
- Also,the antivirus should have signatures preinstalled up to the release date of a version,just like other AVs have.
e.g. if a new version comes out on December 1,2017 the AVs database should have definitions up to the latest date by default(the installer size could be big,but should not be too big,maybe around 250 mb and for online installer,you can always ask user whether they want to download database at the same time or not)
3.Same goes for viruscope also.The new cryptolocker recognizers should be installed and enabled by default. - Also, there should be an option to custom install where the user could find what they want to be installed and the modules they would like to install should not have to be separately installed through an internet connection.
3. Why you think it is desirable:
It will all add to the user convenience and also improves the overall protection level.
