Scheduled Virus Scans are not running

I have a weekly scheduled virus scan that is set to run Monday, Wednesday and Friday but so far when the scheduled time comes the scan never starts so I have to run it manually. Is there a bug with scheduled scans or is there something I am doing wrong? If I am doing something wrong, I have no idea what it is. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

If you use an updated antivirus with a guard function (scan on access),
why do you need scheduled scans?

Especially when you are using defense+ or something like that.

Make sure there is a tick in the check box of your scan profile you have selected for schedule before OK.
If this is not checked scan schedules are not enabled (Screenshot).

The scheduled scan appeared on the screen briefly but it didn’t continue to scan. What should I try next?

AFAIK scheduled scans do not show their face unless they find an issue, or at least that is what happens on my system.
After a schedule scan check the tasks logs and see if a scan has completed sometime after the scheduled start time.
