Scanner engine seems to detect less than previous version!!!

I have a sample of 4k+ malware. I have a forum topic https://forums.comodo.com/feedbackcommentsannouncementsnews_cis/detection_rate_comparatives_about_cis_beta_and_3rd_party_final_av_products_by_darcjrt-t33392.0.html that showed previous detection rate.

When I tested the new public version 3.8 I noticed the scanner said BETA (probably just GUI) and the detection rate dropped from 70% to 23%. It only detected 900+ files.
What is with this??

I also have a folder with 500 current types of malware. Comodo v3.5 left around 94 files in the folder. Version 3.8 left 194 files behind on low heuristics.

Another scan on medium makes the scan window disappear and any future attempts gives me an error message telling me the scanner is busy…but that’s another topic.
