Restore Tabs From Previous Session Is Not Working

For me Comodo dragon is often bringing up the “previous session did not close properly” message even when the closing of the previous session was perfectly normal. (I have CD set to restore previous tabs.) What is much worse is that when the Restore option comes up and I click on it, it DOES NOT restore the tabs of the previous session. This is an intolerable glitch which will bring to an end my having CD as my default browser. If this isn’t fixed, I think I should note it in a review on CNET.

Hi conceptualclarity,
Restore previous session is more for a crash or system crash than it is for accidental closing of the browser with multiple tabs open.
To recover previous session’s tabs from accidental closing of browser please see here.

Hello,

Please provide additional information regarding:

  • installed extensions and apps;
  • installed security software;
  • active flags (dragon://flags);
  • Chromium switches that you are using (if any);

Also, when the issue reproduces, check the %temp%\DragonCrashDumps folder and attach the latest dump file.

Thank you for your support.

Thanks, George. Regarding “when the issue reproduces, check the %temp%\DragonCrashDumps folder and attach the latest dump file”, could you please explain this in more detail for me? I don’t know how to do that.

My extensions are Add to Amazon Wish List, LastPass 1.90.7, and Session Saver 0.16 (which I haven’t had time to learn to use yet).

Microsoft Security Essentials is my security software. IOobit Malware checks my downloads. I have “DOG Detection” but not Real Time Protection with it.

On the flags page, it shows “Default” for “Threaded compositing” and "Automatic for “Aggressive history URL scoring” and “Inline HistoryQuickProvider suggestions”. The other flags are waiting to be enabled.

I don’t know what Chromium switches are.

I am happy to say that lately I have been able to avoid losing my tabs. What has made the difference is waiting until the lockup hourglass icon goes away before clicking on “Restore”.
