Resize operation should not affect data readability [M1487]

1. What actually happened or you saw:
Go to “View Logs” & Show “Firewall Events”, for example. To better understand how this affects you personally try to modify the width of a single column and you will observe, that each time you resize it, the other ones are resized as well.

2. What you wanted to happen or see:
The selected column(s) should be resized only while not tampering with the other ones.

3. Why you think it is desirable:
You can adjust the size of a limited number of columns, not all since these will mess with the other ones. Currently, it is almost impossible to adjust pseudo-proportionate columns mainly.
If this is implemented, resizing columns won’t be such a hassle & it should take less time.

4. Any other information:
Try to open an excel spreadsheet to see desired resizing in action. Alternatively, windows explorer handles columns efficiently as well.
Optionally, you should note the absence of a bottom scrollbar which might aid the column(s) resize to any custom width.

When you have window with multiple columns (like in detailed logs for instance) changing size of one column changes size of all.

2. What you wanted to happen or see:
When trying to change column size only selected column or columns to right should change size.

3. Why you think it is desirable:
It is near impossible to adjust size of all columns the way you want. You set first one, than go to second and second changes first and rest (3rd, 4th…). If you manage to set first two columns third one will mess everything again…

4. Any other information:
Try opening some spreadsheet to see desired resizing in effect.

Sure. Your wish request basically involves a bottom scrollbar. Am I right?

Not necessarily, we can use window space we have. I would just like ability to set desired width and once it is set to stay that way for that column.
