I have noticed that Comodo CIS quite frequently writes to .cav files, and at that time usually writes around 750MB.
What exactly is the .cav file, and can the size be reduced - I would prefer lower writes for my SSD.
The files belong to the av database and its update process and cannot be reduced in size. Lot’s of people would like to see a smaller av database.
Would changing the update interval result in lower writing, or would the amount of the transferred
data remain the same, just updated at later time?
I am inclined to think that changing the update interval will reduce write activity on the disk.
