i am using windows xp sp3 and avast home edition. i am thinking of installing comodo firewall but in there download link they are giving comodo firewall+anti virus. so do i need to uninstall avast for install it.

Make sure you untick antivirus option if present during installation and for only firewall, you can continue to use Avast… :-TU
You can also use the firewall with Defense+ (HIPS). They both work with another antivirus.
