problem with comodo firewall v 5

hi guys, recently i have a problem with comodo firewall, why each my avast av update begin (avast.setup) comodo firewall always consume 99% cpu? an because that i feel now my avast updating very slow(usually maybe 2 minutes, but now 30 minutes still not finished)… is this normal?? i really confuse this problem is because of avast or comodo ;D

avast update should take seconds, or few minutes in slow connections.
For sure not 30 minutes. The updates are incremental.

Please, upload (attach) the avast log: C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast5\Setup\setup.log

0x2000000B [Invalid file signature] error.
I suggest an installation from scratch:

  1. Download the latest version of avast! Uninstall Utility and save it.
  2. Download the latest avast! version and save it.
  3. Uninstall avast from Control Panel (if possible). If, for any reason, you can’t run it, try booting in Safe Mode and doing it from there. Anyway, boot after that.
  4. Run the avast! Uninstall Utility saved on 1. If, for any reason, you can’t run it, try booting in Safe Mode and doing it from there. Anyway, boot after you’ve run it.
  5. Install avast! using the setup saved on 2. Boot.
  6. Register your free copy or add the license key for Pro.
  7. Check and post the results.

I’d just installed Win7 with avast antivirus in a new computer, and found IE8 freezed after installed Comodo firewall 5.03258, I unstalled the firewall and IE8 works fine, no such problem in my other computers with the same softwares except the firewall was an older version.

There is an compatibility issue between Avast 5 and CIS 5 which caused cmdagent.exe, of CIS, to use almost all CPU cycles. If that is your problem try adding the CIS folders to the exceptions of Avast.
