I’ve downloaded and installed the latest stable version and everything went fine until i had to restart.
On reboot into windows i’m getting the following error “An error has occured while trying to intialize graphical user interface. Reinstalling the application may fix the probelm”.
Now i’ve tried to reinstall a number of times but still get this same error.
Have you tried to download the installer again? Perhabs that file is corrupted. Other than that, that error can only occur when cpf.exe is corrupted. May an AV software cause this? Or may your hard disk have some bad sectors?
Just reporting about the same problem with other AV. I installed AVS. Then I wanted to uninstall it, but due to my limited settings, it was not possible, so I went to safe mode, I removed all files from AVS folder, except shell32.dll. I went to normal mode, but cpf.exe did not load due to that error (screen). I uninstalled AVS and restarted PC and the problem still occured. I ran Scandisk, but it did not help. I guess, that Windows shell is damaged or something, because I can not even see Services (screen). I uninstalled Comodo, then restarted PC, installed Comodo again and restarted PC, but it still did not load.
