Please will someone help me - I'm one of these ppl who don't have a clue..

So…

My laptop is getting on now, I’ve had it nearly 3 years and its had its fair share of trojans and viruses.

I noticed the other day that my windows firewall was switched off and that my dad had uninstalled all the programs I had been using:
AVG antivirus, Zonealarm and Adaware…
So I reinstalled them, then out of nowhere I keep getting what I assume are pop-ups or spyware every time I click on any link in the websites I have been using for the last year or so trouble-free. New windows open, some remain blank and others have ads.
The most recurring being:

link removed

and

link removed

I decided to uninstall the programs in the hope that the computer would correct itself. I turned on all the windows protection that the computer came with to their highest settings and installed an 'add-on- called ABP which is supposed to block pop-ups but to no avail.

I have now installed
Comodo, Spybot and Avast in the hope of some remedy when I read somewhere that the programs may conflict…

So, in short, I’m a girl who hasn’t got a clue, help. please.

Probably because your PC is already infected.

See this.
Replace Spybot with SUPERAntiSypware and Malwarebytes Anti-malware.

  • Can you please pm me the links you have posted ( and that are deleted by the Mods ) ?

  • Please do a Boot Scan with Avast.

  • Please do a scan with MBAM as sugested by .FaZio93. and post the log if it finds anything. Tutorial here :

  • Please do a scan with SAS as sugested by .FaZio93. and post the log if it finds anything except tracking cookies. Tutorial here :
  • Please post a HijackThis log :

Click here to download HJTInstall.exe and download the installer.

Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
Double click on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis
Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then the log will open in notepad.
Click on “Edit > Select All” then click on “Edit > Copy” to copy the entire contents of the log.
Paste the log here.

DO NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
