Ping fail

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me why i got this message from GRC.

Ping Reply: RECEIVED (FAILED) — Your system REPLIED to our Ping (ICMP Echo) requests, making it visible on the Internet. Most personal firewalls can be configured to block, drop, and ignore such ping requests in order to better hide systems from hackers. This is highly recommended since “Ping” is among the oldest and most common methods used to locate systems prior to further exploitation.

All the rest of the ports that were tested were completely stealthed.

I am running a HP 64bit with Comodo set to safe mode for D+, the FW at safe mode. I do run through a wireless router modem. Does anyone have any thoughts.

Unless you’ve set up your router in a DMZ configuration, these tests are actually testing your router, not your software firewall.

You can confirm that this is the case by disabling the Comodo firewall and running the test again. You should see no change in the results.

You’ll need to refer to your routers documentation for details on how to block ICMP Echo.

Always fails the first time
