I just experienced this again on Win 7 using the newest version of CIS :-/

Using CIS v. 8.1.0.4426

I have attached reports from diagnostics and the CisDumps.

I forgot to mention that I believe is related: Since I got v. 8 of CIS it fairly often happens (on Win 7) that the icon appearing in the task bar is missing the graphics, i.e. the red square with a “C”, but only have an blank spot over which you can hover to get the name of the icon that you cannot see, as seen on the attached image. After quite some time the normal icon appears and everything is normal.

[at]spasserfan, please do the following :

  1. Reset Sandbox ;
  2. Restart computer system ;
  3. Attach a diagnostics report ;
  4. Go to Run > type “msinfo32” (without quotes) > Select “File” tab > Save. Attach the system information file.

This is very old topic :wink:
BUT my solution was very simple.
I had to reinstall Windows and problem was solved. :wink:
