I interest CloudAV but I didn’t permanently connect to the internet.
I tested it against avast 6.0. Avast had settings all to high and panda kicked some ■■■■ leaving avast behind. What ever they tweaked in the beta they a scoring pretty dam high…
Does avast detect Panda? Can you run both on demand scannings at once without conflict/detections?
Running more than one av is not recommended cloud or signature based period. :P0l ;D

I think you are referring to an FP detection about 10 years ago that one or two AV products had on one of our DLLs, not the signature file.
No, I’m not talking about ten years ago for sure… It’s not a dll but signatures loaded into memory or, at least, virus database files. And it’s not one or two antivirus. Quite a lot of them and during quite a long of time. Search the web.
Do you have any references? All I could find was detections on other (non signature) product components.
Rest assured we’ve always encrypted our signature database… would be fools not to.

Well, I don’t want to spread FUD, but in this case, you need to fight against FUD in avast forums… Take into account that it was really false positive detections due to Panda failing to encrypt signatures loaded into memory reported by a lot of users, advanced ones and also avast team.
