I’m trying Opera 11 and I like it; but it still lacks FF add-ons and configurability (but it’s moving in that direction).
Some things it lacks:
Configure zoom for images and text, only images, only text, have an option for a preset increase (NoSquint in FF).
The click sounds like in IE (NavigationalSounds in FF).
More buttons (ToolbarButtons in FF).
When you use full screen you can’t have the bars back temporarily by touching the top of the screen with the pointer (FF and IE).
When you’re in a page and open Bookmarks and try to open a new page without closing the current one you can’t: both left and right click will just open the new page and close the one you’re in (this is an old issue that should had been solved by now).
Still, worth keeping an eye on future developments.
I admit that Opera is a very good browser. I admit moving from FF to Opera eventually. I admit Firefox is not perfect and I admit users have their browsing habits fulfilled by this or that app.
But I don’t admit not recognising flaws and/or lacks.
Sorry, I exaggerated a bit. :-[
I like to of what Opera thinks of firefox like this:
Opera: You may look nice in your heavy make up and jewellery, but my beauty is natural and comes from within.
Choosing your preferred browser is a matter of taste, just like falling for the right woman/man.
And I’m glad we all have different taste else we’d end up running after the same woman leaving the rest unhappy now we can’t have that happening can we?
So pick what you like now, and drop it when it starts to bore you 88)
Hi Ronny. !ot! It would make for a very tired, but happy Woman. All browsers are becoming copycat boring, but we can’t drop them all. Some good developer could do well starting from scratch, and make a browser that doesn’t resemble all the others in anyway at all. Kind regards.

Fanboy Optimised Element Blocking
Version: V3 Updated: 17 Feb 2011
Edit: quote from Fanboy posted: Sun Mar 20, 2011 4:40 pm
I'll be rolling out an update to the css file for Opera (and IE).. V4 will be pulling directly from the firefox list now (makes it easier to maintain and avoid forgetting to put filters into Opera CSS file)
With this change, the list did grow around 300lines in size, downside, the list on googlecode repo won’t be maintained anymore since its been superseded by version 4. And all the funky coding is hosted on the server. Just link to fanboy.co.nz to keep up to date. Once everything is stable enough I’ll link v3 filename to v4 on fanboy.co.nz.
