You’re right, LA, that button is a ■■■■■■ nuisance. It’s tempting to try and edit some .ini file but I can’t find where it is.
Let’s hope that we get back to having a choice.
Are you saying 1699 classic lacks Unite? It’s there for sure in 1703…
I’ve tried editing some .ini-files, without the desired result. Yep, let’s hope!
Opera Unite and beta 3?Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten about Opera Unite!
It might not be part of beta 3, but we have still been working ■■■■■■■ improving it. So for those of you who want to test that, please download one of the builds below instead of the official beta 3. These builds are basically the same as beta 3, only with Unite included.
Ok, thx
I haven’t tried Unite, doesn’t really interest me now. What about you guys?
Looks like a nice concept to me. I only miss people to “unite” with
1708:
They surely keep us occupied… (:NRD)
I still experience laggy scrolling with Opera 10 in COMODO’s forums 88)
Can’t confirm on Win 7 RC 32 bits on older hardware (check my sig).
To bug you with some Opera troubleshooting. Is it specific for the Comodo Forums?
Try the following basics to see if they help to clear the problem or not:
Clean cache and cookies and restart Opera
Disable userjs scripts and see if that helps
Disable usercss scripts and check again.

Thx. Reading the blog now. :-TU
They are starting two branches now. 10.0 snapshots without Unite and 10.10 snapshots with Unite. It looks like Unite takes longer to develop properly and they are scheduling for a release of Opera 10 without Unite…
At my work (where I’ve been for 6 months) I’ve been using MS Outlook 2007 for email. Just as everything else from MS it’s very bloated though, so I thought “why not give Opera a chance, as I already use it for browsing”.
I successfully set up my account with IMAP, and so far I’m very happy with Opera, currently build 1708, but I should upgrade tomorrow. It’s not as advanced as MS Outlook 2007, but Opera is still more than enough for my purposes. I’ll evaluate the software for a few days but I’m pretty convinced I’ll end up uninstalling Outlook. :-TU
It’s fantastic that Opera has all these things in such a tiny installation. It’s really an amazing program. With today’s features I’ll never switch to any other browser. Not even the pretty decent Firefox comes close…!
Welcome to the club…
I hope you mean the email club, else you’re insulting me - I’ve been using the browser for a year. ;D
Ah yes, I forgot the bit torrent client… rarely use it but it does happen (I have no other client such as uTorrent). Quality browser indeed, I can’t see why the Opera market share is so low. I guess that’s a long history (and deserves a new thread).
Why not?
Let’s name it “Why Opera is so rubbish and Firefox so great” >:-D
Hehe, just kidding
10.10, 1729
Why are they releasing new snap shots so darn often ???
To keep me busy.
And to give Jowa a higher postcount. It seems Opera is really fast at fixing bugs :-TU
XP
I hope they go “stable” soon. Opera 10 has worked close to great for me since the alphas. I just like to know that it’s “officially” stable… :-TU
Really can’t tell you how please I am to use Opera’s mail client at work. We have the privilege to install whatever we want (almost) so I’ve created the perfect environment, which Opera 10 is an important part of!
Opera and CIS - two of the 5 best programs I’ve ever used. :ilovecomodo:
