open the Windows Firewall to allow TCP port 22 through [RESOLVED]

Hi to everyone in this forum
I’m a new user and first off I’d like to introduce my self. My name is Stefano and I use Comodo Firewall Pro v3.
I’m not sure if I’m posting in right forum room so be gentle with me in case I’m in the wrong place.

Recently, with the help of Cygwin, I installed openssh server on my Windows Xp Pro SP3 machine.
Now, what I don’t know to do is:
How can I configure my CPF to allow incoming TCP connections through the port 22 on my Cygwin SSH server?
Please be detailed in your explanation…

Any help will be appreciated.
Bye,
Stefano.

Hello and Welcome stenews!

Please, tell us your firewall Mode. (Custom, safe, etc.)
Anyway, you should write Application Rule for your ssh-server EXE to Allow incoming TCP connection to port 22 from (here you may decide, Single IP, IP Range, etc.)

Hi exproff and thanks for your reply

I use Custom Policy mode.

you should write Application Rule for your ssh-server EXE
but which application should I allow? I mean C:\cygwin\bin\ssh.exe or what? In case the application to allow is what I wrote below, can I follow this "how to do" to complete the set-up? http://www.tech-faq.com/blog/opening-a-port-in-comodo-firewall-pro-3.html

Thanks again for your help,
Stefano.

Absolutely YES. And take a look at Note section.

it seems to work that’s again!

bye
Stefano.
