To remove the drivers it might be possible to use RAPR.

I recently ran into a major issue with CIS2025 forcing me to try to remove it all and reinstall (So far without success so I am starting to look for alternative to CIS2025) and I am wondering if there are any pieces of the software that you need to manually remove after running the normal uninstaller?

Is there a list somewhere of all registry locations and file locations that need to be cleaned up for Comodo to be completely removed from the system, even after running the ā€œadd/remove programsā€ uninstallation of it.

If you follow my instructions above it will remove all of the remnants. You will also need to delete the start-up entry for the installer from the registry:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Once youā€™ve done that and clear temporary files and rebooted, of course, you can do a clean install. Iā€™d wait until this certificate issue is resolved in the next day or two or use old .8012 in the interim.

Use the uninstallers after running the normal uninstall process from this post.

ā€œwithout success so Iā€™m starting to look for an alternative to CIS2025ā€.

Donā€™t go, stay with us!

Comodo will solve this problem as soon as possible, just like the others.

Comodo CIS wasnā€™t born yesterday. Itā€™s seen others. Be patient, heā€™ll come back stronger!

Well, Iā€™m still trying to fix it. And I doubt there are any alternatives to Comodo remaining out there, as most other AV solutions Iā€™ve seen are simplified bloat that lack the power user options that Comodo offers.

I updated the download links to the version that doesnā€™t require an ITSM password, seeing as people are using the wrong version and comodo not updating the tool to not require a password.

Thank you very much Decimatech for your contribution.

But, please, for those who are reading and are coming from elsewhereā€¦ (donā€™t forget that above the link it says ā€œ2017ā€)

You donā€™t include the new download link for the new version of CIScleanUPtoolr in your message.

P.S: (addition) OK, I get it, version 3.0.1.55 is the one modified by Decimatech today. Since chronologically we start from the top, it could have been the old one.

Could someone post here the HASH (MD5 and/or SHA-1) for Comodo Uninstaller v3.1.0.55?
Otherwise I download it from here, and the download is not finalized, although it shows 100%.

Hi,

I had two remaining processes left over by Comodo firewall when I uninstalled it. I couldnā€™t get rid of these processes so I looked around online for some information. I ended up downloading this, after using the tool it put the computer into a permanent boot-loop that I couldnā€™t fix. It would pop up saying updating windows then stay at 0% and then the regular windows update would popup and say 15% and then just boot-loop over and over.

Whatever corrupted the SSD canā€™t even be erased normally by using a USB windows installer, it fails to erase the drive. I also tried other methods such as the built in windows one, alternative tools etc to erase this SSD that I bought a few months agoā€¦ no luck. The only thing remaining left I can think to try is a linux based os drive wiper.

Thanks for making the tool but it seems to have went haywire for me. Any clue what could have went wrong?

Works with CIS 8152?

Not really funny thing, Cleanuptool 3.1.0.55 Canā€™t be run since it is blocked by System administrator. File being unsafe, unknown source etc.

If Comodoā€™s week goes at same pace as past 5 days then oh boy.

That version is affected by the revoked certificate. Itā€™s been like that for months. You can use the previous version or simply launch version 3.1.0.55 with an administrative command prompt.

Not needed, Iā€™ll wait that 815x comes as web update.

Hi cuser,

Thank you for reporting.
Could you please try the below ciscleanuptool and then install the CIS ?

Kindly let us know your feedback.

Thanks
