After updating the Comodo Firewall to 4.1, my newsreader XNEWS can no longer connect to the NNTP server, I get a connect error 10061. What can I do to fix this? Why doesn’t the firewall ask if I want to allow XNEWS to acces the web?
You can add the XNEWS application as trusted application (Firewall > Common Tasks > Define a New Trusted Application)
I did try that, it didn’t work, at that time. As I found out today, my service provider had a problem with his news server, unfortunately that happened on the same day I updated the Comodo firewall. So, I blamed the update instead of my provider, sorry. :-[
