New to Comodo firewall pro

Hey all.

I have just got comodo firewall pro today,I am testing right now.
But I have a quistion for you comodo user.

Do you use only comodo firewall pro 3.0 as your main security
software?or do you have a second Antivirus software installed??

I have it installed as most important security system. You could use (and it’s advised actually) to use a real-time scanner from an AV also.

Use 2 different on-demand scanners just in case. Good are Superantispyware and Malwarebytes antimalware.

Comodo is a firewall with HIPS. There is no anti virus included in it. Only an on demand scanner. You still need a real time anti virus. Avast is a good choice for free. NOD32 is a good choice for paid.

You need Layered Security. And only 3 layers:
Prevention
Detection
Cure

You’re Prevention would be CFP 3 Because it PREVENTS Malware in the first place and is not based on DETECTION (Signatures) Technology. You’re Detection would be your Anti-Virus, You’re cure would be you’re on-demand scanners (malware scanners that don’t run in real time).

Only use One AV! You’re AV & CFP 3 in real time is enough… Some people get too paranoid. 88)

I wonder why dont you use you use Comodo’s Anti Virus (http://antivirus.comodo.com/). It is still in beta I noted.

We don’t use it because the signatures and detection is still below par. And it’s not vista supported :).

But we’re all waiting for CAVS3 to come out …
