New Private Network Detected

This pop-up is a nuisance. I am tired of clicking “Close”. I looked at the Settings and the box is checked for “Automatically detect new private network”. I have just one home computer and it is not hooked up to any other computer. How can I get rid of this pop-up popping up? If I uncheck “Automatically detect new private network”, would I still be protected?

I also looked at “My Network Zones” and there is one entry in Loopback Zone. I don’t know what Loopback is about.

You can safely disable detecting the new private network. Yes, you will still be protected.

Loopback is a feature through which browsers check its own connectivity to modem, router etc. Nothing to worry about.
