Network firewall not functioning properly, diagnostics show no error.

My specs are:

OS: Windows XP
Media Center Edition
Version 2002
SP 3

Anti-virus: avast! version 4.8 Home Edition

Anti-spyware: Spyzooka 2.5

Also using Malwarebytes v1.37, Advanced SystemCare v3.3.1, Sophos 1.3.1

My previous firewall and anti-virus/spyware was zonealarm security suite and AVG free. I uninstalled those and switched to what I have now.

Upon installation of Comodo, it shows that the network firewall is not functioning properly.

When I run diagnostics, it shows a proper installation.

I checked the how to fix it thread, and followed the instructions by checking for the inspect.sys file through the cmd prompt. This is what I got:

I then checked the eventvwr and there was only one error. It is a constantly recurring error, but I don’t think it has anything to do with Comodo. Neither of the two mentioned errors in the thread showed up.
Here is the error I got:

Any ideas on how to fix this?

UPDATE Uninstalled and ran a fresh installation. Same problem still exists.

Which of the security programs are running in the background on your systems? Try disabling them all and see if the same thing happens after a reboot.

Avast! and spyzooka run in the background. I tried disabling both and disabling their start-up then rebooting, but comodo still shows the same problem.

Are you willing to try a clean install of CIS? If so do as follows (and forget about the Legacy keys as they are too much work to remove):

Uninstall CIS and reboot. Then run Comodo System Cleaner to get rid off registry keys.

Then delete the Comodo folders under Program Files, Program Files\Common Files, C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ .
For Vista/Win7
Users%username%\appdata\local, Users%username%\appdata\roaming\ and \Users%username%\appdata\local\virtual store

To be even more thorough open Device Manager and set it to show hidden devices under menu option View. Then see if there are Comodo driver(s) left in non Plug and Play drivers. If so select the driver → click right → uninstall and reboot.

Now delete the following:
C:\boot.ini.comodofirewall (this file may not exist).
WARNING: Do not mistakenly remove the original “boot.ini”.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\cmdGuard.sys
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\cmdhlp.sys
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\inspect.sys

*Note: It may not be possible to remove these “LEGACY” keys. If you cannot delete them, leave them in the registry. However, I have subsequently found that you MAY be able to remove these keys in Safe Mode by using a third-party registry tool. To permanently remove them may also require modifying the Permissions for each key. See: https://forums.comodo.com/help_for_v3/comprehensive_instructions_for_completely_removing_comodo_firewall_pro_info-t17220.0.html;msg119226#msg119226

Now you should be good to go.
