I followed the sticky that says follow it…
I ran the bitdefender virus scan, the malwarebytes’ scan, and super anti-spyware and all three turned up nothing related to the problem I’m currently having. I’m probably paranoid but my ATI monitoring agent MOM.exe acted very unusual:
(Ascending dates, bottom events happened first) It tried to acces my index.dat file which i immediately denied it access to, blocked it, and then shut it down at which point it tried to restart itself twice and shut down CLI.exe. This seems really suspicious and I don’t know what to do. I looked online and some websites said it was harmless, others said it was a keylogger… Seeing what it was trying to edit made me rather worried so here I am.
I don’t think this is related but I have no idea what this file is, I can’t find any info on it (other than that there’s a combat arms installer named that, i don’t have that game…) or why it was trying to access my reg.exe file 5 times. The dates are wrong because of a disruption in my power supply resulting from me knocking it out and resetting the clock. It was however a week or so before this occurred and probably unrelated.
this is my hijackthis report:
