CIS has not detected ModemSpy as a Spyware. However, Norton and Panda have indicated ModemSpy (modemspy.com , a phone recording tool) as Spyware.
Is that a false positive or a real spyware?

I have research’d this “ModemSpy” and only reason it is called “Spyware” is because it can be used against the user, but I see it’s not (If it tries to connect the internet i would block it)

To me, I would say that modem spy is probably a dialer if it tried to connect to the internet, But if your not sure please look it up on www.virustotal.com
