Message / pop-up location

Hi! First post here.

I would have expected the message location, or maybe it’s called the notification pop-up, to be always located by the system tray… irrespective of the location of that system tray. It’s not though. It always pops up in the lower right corner.

Is there a way to change the location of these pop-ups? Thanks in advance.

To clear things up; My ‘task bar’ is on the left. I have Eyefinity with 3 screens and having the task-bar on the left screen solves a few issues.

To answer my own question, so others might benefit:

One can move one pop-up notification to another spot on the desktop and the subsequent messages will appear there too.

Needs to be done after each reboot though. A permanent solution would be nice. :-TU

If I understand you correctly: with the taskbar on the left, being vertical/standing up, the systray notification does not follow your taskbar. Correct?

This sounds like a bug to me. Can you post screenshots of the two situations?

What OS are you on and what version of CIS are you using?

OS: Windows 7 Pro 64Bit
Comodo: V 5.0.162636.1135

It’s a “luxury” problem, but maybe it’s a small fix.

Now I understand what you were trying to say. I had overread you were using Eyefinity. You are on wiiiiiiiide screen… (:NRD)

I’m on a standard, 1920x1200 screen with the taskbar at the TOP, and the popups started showing up at the bottom in CFP 4. Before that, they followed the task bar…

In CIS 5, they still popup at the bottom, even though I put my taskbar at the top of the screen.

It’s easy to repro. Just move your “start” bar from the default bottom of the screen up to the top, so that your start button is on the upper left corner, and your clock is in the upper right corner. When a security pop up occurs, it won’t be up by the clock like it should be, but will be down in empty space where there is no CIS icon… (the CIS icon is up by the clock at the top of the screen).
