Is it safe to install the January 2018 KB4056894 rollup (i.e. Meltdown fixes) in Windows Update with an old old version of COMODO Free Firewall?
I’m using the following software on Windows 7 SP1 32-bit.
- Avast Free Antivirus 17.9.2322 (new version)
- Comodo Free Firewall 7.0.317799 (old old version)
- Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 3.3.1.2183 (new version)
I’m running the AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition processor and that processor is in the list below.
I apologize for not having the time to read the posts in the Meltdown threads.

P.S.
The reason I stopped updating is the ADS issue. It caused me a huge amount of trouble.
COMODO changes date of EXE/BAT/CMD etc. on copy

CIS/CES 8 adds ADS to files which remain present if files (login to view)

Does COMODO Firewall Free 10 have the same issue? I don’t want to bork my HDD because I forgot to change a default setting.
Edit:
I skipped the January 2018 KB4056894 rollup in Windows Update.
The February 2018 KB4074598 rollup works fine with COMODO Free Firewall 7.

Hi APPLE123,
That’s really very old version, suggest you should try latest Firewall v10. You should not see ADS issue.
Thanks
