Link Local New Network alert uses the wrong mask [MN] [V6]

A. THE BUG/ISSUE (Varies from issue to issue)
[ol]- Summary - Give a clear summary in the topic title, NOT here.
When a ‘New Network’ detection alert is generated for a link local address space (169.254.0.0/16) it shows a 17 bit mask. (image) However, a zone with the correct mask is created.

  • Can U reproduce the problem & if so how reliably?:
It’s been reproducible for several versions of CIS

  • If U can, exact steps to reproduce. If not, exactly what U did & what happened:
Force a New Network alert, nine times out of ten you’ll get the correct network alert and a link local alert. That’s also an issue that could do with some attention.

  • If not obvious, what U expected to happen:
    Display the correct mask

  • If a software compatibility problem have U tried the conflict FAQ?:

  • Any software except CIS/OS involved? If so - name, & exact version:

  • Any other information, eg your guess at the cause, how U tried to fix it etc:

  • Always attach - Diagnostics file, Watch Activity process list, (dump if freeze/crash). If complex - CIS logs & config, screenshots, video, zipped program (not m’ware)

  • Have U made any other changes to the default config? (egs here.):
