At this moment, I prefer to use CIS 3.14.130099.587 over newly released CIS 4.

How long Virus Signature Database updates will be available ?
This is essential question, because keeping AV without signatures updates is not good idea.

There is nothing official about this.
My best guess is that they may be around until v4.1 but not after that. For now the definitions for 3.14 and 4.0 are the same. However v4.1 promised to add enhancement to cleaning of viruses, called acid like cleaning by to Melih, and may bring changes to the av definitions format.
But that being said; this is just a guess and does not represent any official Comodo point of view or opinion.
