LAN transfer speeds

New member here: hi.

Having dispensed with XP SP2’s firewalls on my PC (XP Pro) and laptop (XP Home) I find transfer speeds between both machines and my network hard drive, a Netgear SC101 connected to my Netgear RangeMax router have halved, or worse.

My PC is connected by wire to the router and the speed decrease is astonishing. What took hardly a moment now takes very long seconds.
My laptop connects wirelessly to the router and transfer speed there is down from 3Mbps to under 1Mbps.

I like Comodo in every other respect; is there any way round this very annoying behaviour?

I’ve run anti malware apps on both machines and they’re clean.

As a measure it took 25 seconds to transfer a 10MB folder from my PC over the wire to my network drive. It shouldn’t have taken more than a few.

Can you please post a maximized screenshot of your network monitor rules so we can see if there’s anything odd in there. Please mask out any personally identifiable info. :wink:
