hi,a question regarding L2TP:
When i connect to l2tp (IP sec) vpn the Active Connection section just shows traffic for SVCHOST,I’ve defined a home network zone and made all ports stealth to everyone else,and detection of new network is disabled.
is this configuration safe to prevent hack through l2tp connection??
IPSec is a hosted service, so connections using this will typically show svchost as the connection originator/terminator. If you use something like Process Hacker it will show you the individual hosted services involved in the connection, not just the host process (svchost)
L2TP is a point to point VPN and if you’re using IPSec to provide encryption and authentication, you should be relatively secure.
