Keeping old configurations with CIS 6.0

As I read the CIS 6 release announcement, there was this term about uninstalling CIS 5 and then install CIS 6, and not to manually import previous configurations.

What is meant by manually import?
If not then how to move old configurations in CIS 5 into CIS 6?
Is it possible to just install over CIS 5?

You would have to wait until the self update gets rolled out.

Otherwise you would have to follow the description. Fresh install, dont use the old configuration.
