i know this belongs on the sticky, but it’s just a quick question.
now that COMODO has the new malware, spyware, virus, etc scanner…is it still OK to use with my other anti-virus program?. (I have Avast Home). There has been no conflict in the past between the two and no conflicts have occurred since the update.

You still need a resident anti virus. This new version of Comodo is not a security suite. Its a scanner for malware. Still use Avast.

Vettetech is right. I’d also like to add that you should temporarily disable avast when scanning with Comodo!

I have had no problem with Avast! with any on-demand virus scanner, including the one in CFP3. NOTE: That is not the same as installing another antivirus program and using its on-demand features, which usually causes conflict. Melih has assured us that the one is CFP is truly on demand, not using resources, and simply does a scan (like the online virus scanners) when asked.
Maybe there is no conflict then, between the CFP/CAV scanner and a realtime AV like avast. :-TU
