To do this you will need to work with REGEDIT. If you never did, just forget it and start your rules from scratch. It can be VERY dangerous to your OS if something goes wrong. THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT!!!

(I recommend a CLEAN install of the new version and NEW rules from scratch, mostly for those who were running Beta’s and RC’s - not that updating or importing rules won’t work well… in this case, some registry precautions are in need, like that one).

I’m a power user I worked with regedit but I couldn’t understand a THING you said about that key!

CIS gets the DB updates from a server at Comodo. The path were the DB’s are in that server is defined by that string: “UpdatePath”. Example: for 3.9 Beta’s and RC’s it is: “av/beta39” wich probably won’t work in the new version.

This registry string is included in the rules to be imported, so, you need to check the right path (NEW) before you import the rules and, after importing you need to put that in place.

But this is ONLY speculation, PRECAUTION, since we don’t know anything about 3.9 final.

As an image sometimes tells more than a thousands words. Check all the profiles 0, 1, 2, 3 and higher (when there) and edit the path accordingly.

Strange. 4 is my active profile and I have another path. I’m on DB 1157 and RC2 is workings flawless. ???
I’ll always use beta (when available) and updating through CIS integrated updater.

Would like to be ready for this when it drops. Currently using the latest version of CIS. The firewall portion with D+. Can we auto update through the program or do you suggest a uninstall and then install the new version?
