Is SmitFraudfix a trojan?

My comodo virus scam reports both
smitfraudfix\reboot.exe and
smitfraudfix\restart.exe
as unwanted applications. These are elements of smitfraudfix which ‘techguy support’ site recommended for removal of the smitfraud trojan.
Is this an error in AV or is smitfraudfix a vulnerability? ??? ???

It’s most likely a false positive, seeing as your tech support recommended it.

It’s not malware. Here’s from the website for SmitFraudFix:

Note:

process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a “RiskTool”. It is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between “good” and “malicious” use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
