Is COMODO Cloud Backup still available (since present in CIS 2025) + error 4294967295

Greetings,

A Geek Buddy representative told me months ago that COMODO Cloud Backup was discontinued or unavailable. In CIS 2025, there is still an option to use COMODO Cloud Backup at least in “Lycia theme”, but not in “Light theme” apparently.

1. Is COMODO Cloud Backup really discontinued and it’s simply a glitch to be able to access its download interface via changing CIS theme (in CIS 2025)?

Also, when I try to launch COMODO Cloud Backup from CIS, it starts by offering to download it and before I agree with the download process, the size of the file to download is 0 mb.

Agreeing to proceed with the download displays an error message saying: “Cannot launch setup - package corrupted”, but if I don’t click on the “Ok” button, the download continues… (which seems counterintuitive).

Clicking on the “Ok” button for the error message “Cannot launch setup - package corrupted” results in the following error message: “An error occurred while installing the product. Cannot install COMODO Cloud Backup Error: 4294967295”.

Since the file offered to download is 0 mb, this suggests that COMODO Cloud Backup could be discontinued (also considering the section on COMODO forums in which the current topic is posted; Discontinued Products > Comodo Cloud). On the other hand, if COMODO Cloud Backup is supposed to be working fine as its still present in CIS 2025, then:

2) What should be done about the COMODO Cloud Backup error 4294967295?

3) Is it normal to be offered a 0 mb file download?

I was looking at my CIS 2025 and it doesn’t have the option that yours has.

They are using an old Complete version which was a previous paid for product before they consolidated it to Premium & Pro. The Complete, I think, included some cloud backup as well as the VPN. I had a Complete code previously and the VPN worked with Windows 11 but I don’t know whether the cloud backup is available now or not, I suspect the latter.

I have uninstalled Comodo CIS Pro while waiting for the Certificate problem to be resolved.

But I left Geekbuddy in place.

This morning connections to ccloud.com were requested by Geekbuddy…

So I guess it’s checking the status of Comodo Cloud Backup.

On the other hand, I’ve launched Comodo TrustConnect, but it no longer recognises me as a customer. Invalid licence.

These are two aspects of Comodo CIS Pro that seem to be still there, but which don’t seem to be working too well at the moment…

Certificate problems?

This tip was given to me by an engineer between two corridors, but I don’t know if it applies to our case.

It looked like they’d thought about handing over to Acronis, but I never got it to work…

I also have this in the back of my software library :

Comodo Backup Online setup.exe (CB_setup.exe)

Maybe that’s the way to go? :
