There is the virtual desktop and Secure Shopping. Or running another program virtually (with the border). Is none of those supported anymore? After all, you can access the virtual desktop directly via CIS—just like a program running in virtual mode. Secure Shopping, on the other hand, no longer does.
Did you read the whole thread or just post it.
You should upgrade to Windows 11
And how is that going to fix the Comodo issue?
Because I was talking about malware that manages to bypass Comodo. What Comodo needs to do is flag the files as malicious.
Secure Shopping was not discontinued and no longer supported. You can still run a browser in the sandbox by right clicking it and click “Run in Comodo container”. If you have issues accessing the internet, it’s because of a fix that Comodo did to improve security which restricts sandboxed programs from connecting out. The EDR Protected Object Windows Sockets Interface (below) is the cause but I don’t know a safe workaround for it other than maybe creating a HIPS/EDR exception rule for the browser itself. This would be the case even if you have HIPS/EDR disabled.
You may try creating a containment rule for your browser to run partially limited as described in this old CruelSister video Cruelsister - Comodo Setup (Run browser in container section) but it’s not something I’ve tried myself.
It’s already been updated to be Malware now. Verdict Valkyrie Link
Your out of date softwares is the problem
First of all, thanks for the links.
I don’t mind helping a user who doesn’t provide that kind of info. English isn’t everyone’s native language, nor is everyone fluent enough to avoid misunderstandings without translation help—and that applies beyond just this forum. People often resort to copy-pasting just to ensure nothing gets misinterpreted or missed. That gets tiring.
The internet is full of information, and it’s easy to forget things you’ve read previously, and so on. So, there are plenty of obstacles to keeping everything right at hand. No hard feelings!
No more Blue Screen!
My friend, I think you misunderstood. Notice that the file I was talking about had already been flagged as malware. It has already been resolved by COMODO.
Hi, does anyone know why the web filter database in the new Comodo version (2027) hasn’t been updated for months?
It’s been stuck on version 71300 for months.
Thanks!
I’ve also noticed this. Comodo ships with a light version of it’s full signature database (About 251MB) rather than the around 800MB signature base as it performs cloud lookup. My guess is that most of that is cloud based these days or they are more focused on signatures. Maybe @C.O.M.O.D.O_RT can check with the devs to see what the score is.
You can install the full signature base in the Updates section of the and see if that number changes. Your web browser and extensions will always be better at blocking known phishing or malware pages as is the case with pretty much all internet security products. You can try using the full signature base as shown below if you prefer though it may slightly increase resource usage. Comodo sandboxes unknowns and automatically checks the latest signatures online.
If your looking for additional browser based website proteciton, I really like Osprey Browser proteciton which uses lots of DNS servers and has tnd he widest range or databases while still being lightning fast: https://osprey.ac/
Anyway, I have seen this and PM’d C.O.M.O.D.O_RT in recent months but not had a reply. If you go to a bad website, usually you will get a browser altert, any unknown file will be sandboxed and your system protected. CIS even detects partial downloads so your system is protected but when it comes to phishing protection, the protection built into browsers is more comprehensive.
I uninstalled CIS with the CIS Cleanup Tool and after I installed the new version.
To check if Comodo fixed the bug I reported 1 1/2 years ago I unchecked " Rate applications according to their vendor rating".
It seems the bug is fixed. Thanks, Comodo !
App is running without errors !
A changelog would be nice ! ![]()
Oh my god, there’s actually a 2027 version? I can hardly believe it.
So is the free version just called “CIS pro” now?
The Pro is the paid version which just includes a couple of extra things like virus free guarantee but no additional protection, it’s identical to to the Premium version. I buy it because it’s cheap and I’m contributing. Anyway, you can get the Premium (Free) version from the first post in this topic.
The link from the first post leads to a french language page and there is a link for the download which is exactly the same link as from post 8 in this topic here !
I´m confused !
I’ve just edited the first post to add the download link for version CIS:12.4.0.8170.
I’m a moderator for the French section, so the link is included.
There’s no confusion.
Each moderator responsible for their respective countries provides the same link to the Comodo server.

Ok, so where is the Premium version download ?
EricCryptid said in his last post: “Anyway, you can get the Premium (Free) version from the first post in this topic.”
