About time! Thanks! No update via Windows Update? I guess it’s still early…
I got it and the issues I had with the preview version that made me revert to v9 seem to have been resolved. The big problem with the preview was that cookies I had selected in CCleaner to not be deleted would be anyway and I had to log in to my favorite sites every time. Now the issue is no longer present and CCleaner and IE10 work together perfectly.
We will begin auto updating Windows 7 customers to IE10 in the weeks ahead, starting today with customers running the IE10 Release Preview.
I was wondering when Microsoft would release it for Windows 7. I’ll wait for it to appear in Windows Update before I install it.
Does the Google Toolbar work fine with IE10?
Thanks for sharing.
IE 10 is slowdown my start-up speed, so I’m disappointed :-, Back to IE 8, since I only use IE occasionally.
If you install the IE10 update before the new platform update for Win7, you will never see the platform update listed in Windows Update. This is because the platform update is downloaded and applied during the IE10 installation. There is no need to manually download the platform update if you don’t see it listed in Windows Update and you have IE10 already installed.
Confirmation of what gets installed during the IE10 upgrade. The KB package is the platform update.

Well ok, but if will slowdown system startup like this version(the manual version), I personally don’t need this mess, I use very rare the IE. But hey this only my 1st observation after 24h. But I’m curios if other experience the same slowdown of system startup.
No slowdown here and the browser is faster than 9. It’s working perfectly for me. You may have a slower startup the first time but that’s normal when things are updated in Windows. After that it should be fine.
Hi RealNature,
I have not installed IE10, but I am just wondering how system start up speed can be effected?
I would imagine IE10 wouldn’t have a need to create any extra system start up services, does it?
Thanks.
Just a heads up for anyone using Mozilla based browsers and possibly older AMD graphics cards. Installing the platform update may affect font rendering in some instances.
Well I don’t use windows update, after installing ie 10, also several hotfix and updates was install in my pc, and that might be the cause of this slowdown, on paper i uninstall all the update and ie 10, and my windows rebort fast as before, you right ie don’t start any service but all the update that came with ie 10 seems to cause this issue.
Thanks RealNature, it is a pity other items have to come along with it.
Oh well, I sometimes forget IE is even on the system.
That’s true,I too forget , I only use it for the activex ;D
I use it all the time, except in the Kiosk where I use Dragon.
Thank you for taking the time to post that. I have an Asus K52Jr-X5 laptop which I got in June 2010. It has an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 graphics card which I have not updated except for one or more updates available through Windows Update. I have Firefox 19 installed. I have not noticed any issues.
