Installing Update Fails

Installing updates fails at 68% with the following error message:

fileid.cav : Error 0x80072ee2

You probably have a corrupted av database. Follow Where can i download the latest full AV database? to get a fresh one.

After rebooting only 100-220 kB of incremental updates need to be installed.

Unfortunately, this is not the case. I followed the instructions on:

I’m still getting the same error at 68% of the update.

Any other ideas?

What version of CIS are you using?

Just to jump in here, I too cannot update CIS. Fails (progress bar looks like about 40%) and reeetries.
Just uninstalled McAfee suite and now Comodo can’t update after install??
(Yes I did clean up the McAfee mess and CIS installed normally) Windows firewall not active. Should be no systems conflicts, Update simply fails midway.System is Windows 7 on new Lenovo laptop CIS is 3.14 downloaded this morning.

What percentage does the progress indicator tell?
