avast web shield scans the http traffic.
It does not block at DNS level.
It’s different.
CIS does not have a web shield in this sense.

CIS does not filter http traffic. It is by design. It is thought to be not needed as it will find the malware when it gets written to disk or when started. It helps to keep CIS lean and mean.

avast web shield prevents any infected file to even hit your disk.
Besides, infected websites are detected and blocked.

Web shield - protects your computer from viruses while using the internet (browsing, downloading files etc). It will detect and block known or potential threats coming from the web e.g. hacked web pages infected with (potential or actual) malicious scripts. If a virus is detected while downloading a file from the internet, the download will be stopped to prevent the infection from reaching your computer.

Don’t count on it to ever arrive as far as I know Comodo’s point of view on this.

to mittial… you can use avast! with comodo firewall. And if you want to use CIS use clearclouddns but keep in mind that your download will get slower (my download got slower).

I don’t know if you need to but if i were you i would update the firewall; it’s alwasys good to have products that are up to date.

there is no option to update firewall.

If you just installed the firewall, when updating CIS you’ll be updating the firewall, Defense+, sandbox, etc.
