I only found the above after loading MBAM and running a scan, and when
I attempted to “chat” with live help no one ever came to chat with me yesterday…why is comodo not alerting me on this stuff?? I’m first time
poster, if this is in wrong place I apologize.

Is it really a problem if Comodo missed just one PUP?

There were 30 items listed as that “pup”, and being novice at scanning
for these things I don’t know if it is a problem or not…I am querying
whether COMODO should have caught this issue. thanks

No software can detect 100% of threats.
You can quarantine those items in MBAM.

Not sure if the user had detection of PUP’s enabled in both the scan profiles and File Rating…

baron2014 can you check your settings to see if the detection of “Potentially Unwanted Programs” are enabled?

Also here for Realtime scanning:

By default v8 doesn’t detect PUP’s so your probably using this version, am I correct?

In your Comodo settings, under File Rating Settings, do you have “Detect potentially unwanted applications” checked? If not, you may want to enable that so it will help Comodo catch additional PUPS that it may not otherwise.

Even though it was 30+ entries, it was one PUP that caused that.

YEs it is turned on. The next release in a few weeks will have it.

A better compromise would have been to make an option clearly avaliable in the installer. As long as it’s enabled I’m happy :slight_smile:
