Icon should be there in the Quick Links. I know its easy to do this but its good if it is by default installation coz the browser is the heavily used thing in any system so definitely should be there in the quick links.

Qucik Links in the taskbar next to start button in the system.

I like this idea; Also there is always drag and drop in the quick launch 
But true it saves us 2 seconds of our lives if this added this into the installer

Only if there is an option not to have it do this!
I absolutely hate it when applications put something in the quick-start bar without asking me about it…
