IceDragon 32bit??

As a complete newbie to all things Comodo I have some questions that perhaps you fellow Forum members could help me with?
A very recent download, from the Comodo web site, of IceDragon resulted in a file identified as:
" icedragonsetup.exe ", " file version: 63.0.4.15 "
When I tried loading this and installing Comodo IceDragon I got an error popup stating, this is not a legitimate Win 32 bit program.

I am attempting to install the IceGragon browser into an XP Pro, SP3 system.
Does this .exe file install a 32 bit program or …?

One more question. After attempting several searches of this Forum I seem to be unable to get any hits for anything relating to XP, or any comments, questions, or information about comodo and that infamous operating system. What’s up with that?

Never used it, but this link gives you the option of either: Endpoint Detection and Response, Free - What is EDR Security?

This gives all the requirements for all Comodo applications as you go to what you need: https://help.comodo.com/ Some support XP - some don’t

Hi sonffar!

Thank you for your feedback!

IceDragon does not offer support for Windows XP and Vista from version 43 onwards. You’ll need to download an older version than v43 of IceDragon in order for it to run on Windows XP and Vista. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Nearly same question …
I installed today IceDragon, there’s only one icedragonsetup.exe to download (can’t see there, what it is, 32-Bit or 64-Bit).

In IceDragon under settings → generell → Firefox-Updates => there it means “Version 65.0.2 (32 Bit)”

So, it’s not based on FF 64 Bit?

I’ve a 64-Bit-CPU (Skylake core i5 6600k) and Windows 10, 64 Bit.

There are separate installers for 64 and 32 bit: https://forums.comodo.com/-t124515.0.html

Ah, thank you very much!
I reconstructed this once … I had downloaded it from here
https://icedragon.comodo.com/
and that’s only the 32-bit version.

But if I had downloaded from here

I would have had the choice between 32 and 64 bit.

… you might have, but I certainly didn’t -

  • it looked like I had the option to download either 32 or 64 bit. I also run Win 10 Pro 64 bit, and that is what was recommended. I got something that said was incompatible with my system. To get it to even recognise the installer I had to run compatibility mode - Win 8 came up ??? - something not right. So I tried again - nope - same problem.

https://icedragon.comodo.com/ - gives no choice.

Neither installer tells you what they are 32 or 64 bit. Guess what - I selected 64 bit and I have apparently 32 bit installed.

I am starting to get sites refusing to load because of my “outdated” browser - why ???
Time for an update maybe ?

Hello, austyro u can find both versions of the set-up on our forums and will always find the latest version, try installing the 64 bit version and tell us if the problem persists
