I need CIS/CF 5.10 or 5.12

hello,

I need the setups for CIS or Comodo Firewall version 5.10 or 5.12.
The download links are all for version 6.
The URL here https://forums.comodo.com/news-announcements-feedback-cis/comodo-internet-security-2013-v-602607392674-released-t89185.0.html;msg645009#msg645009 leed to versions 5 BUT while installing I got message for Trojan horse/ Dropper :-[

so does someone have the original download files ?? Then we will see how can I receive/download ithem?

Please help

Filehorse has older versions:

http://www.filehorse.com/download-comodo-64/old-versions/

I prefer to have them from a user because of bad experience … as I wrote in the first post malware was found >:(

OK. I’ve uploaded my file for you. Here’s the link:

http://www.cogneo.org/images/news/jan17/cispremium_installer_512.exe

It will be available for about 5 weeks.

Version: 5.12.256249.2599

File Name: cispremium_installer_512.exe

Size: 98,142,056 bytes

SHA-1: 3A4EA58875793AFC2639B2F2765B67C4D90DBF73

MD5: 883C8B12D6F6FAED8CC946D3E02F4F48

You can also download from Filehippo.

To download older versions of CIS click on the link that says Filehippo mirror. If you don’t Filehippo will serve you the latest available version CIS straight from the Comodo servers instead of the older version you are after.

thanks Grizzly, when I am done I will inform you so you can remove the fiile from the server. Did you download it from Comodo official side when it was released or later from freeware/software download sides such as Filehippo, CNET, etc.?
what for are SHA-1 and MD5 ?

it was a bad surprice for me that the installer I downloaded from CNET contained Trojan Dropper/Malware whtch was detected druring the installation (I hope there was nothing undetected infecting my PC). So now I am careful … how can I be sure that the files from these download places are clean? :-\

I got it from the official download links from this forum when it was first released. The SHA-1 and MD5 are the file checksums if you care to check the file to be sure it’s legitimate.

how can I legitimate it? Can you explain it to me please?

Do you have version 5.10 also? Send the link in PM to me, if yes?

You can download a free checksum tool here: File Checksum Tool - KRyLack Software

If you download a file and someone supplies you with the checksum codes, you can verify that the file you downloaded is the same by matching the checksums. Load the tool, have it get the checksum of the file you downloaded and compare that code with the one supplied by the one who uploaded the file.

The link to v5.10:

File name: cispremium_installer_510.exe

are these installers for 32bit or 64bit? Becuase I have Win7 64bit

Using the checksum can I be sure that downloded files are clean and no malware was added? Beacause adding a malware will modify the file (and the checksum , right)?

Just a question, was side is http://www.cogneo.org/ ? it gives me something about the church. How could you upload there?

I think those installers contain both 32 and 64 bit versions. If the files have been modified, the checksums won’t match. The main domain where I uploaded the files is a church website that I maintain. It happens to have enough room for the files and the server is quite fast.

I think those installers contain both 32 and 64 bit versions.

the checksums are identical with these here
https://forums.comodo.com/install-setup-configuration-help-cis/comodo-v512-installer-combined-x86-and-x64-t90413.0.html , right?
then it should be for both 32 and 64 bit, did I understood right?

Yes, I believe so. The installer detects which system type it’s being installed on.

since I use only Comodo Firewall AND my Laptop doesnt have sooo much free space, could you please send me the download URLs for the Firewall version for both 5.10 and 5.12. I would like to save these installers instead those for CIS Premium.
I hope you have them too.

I don’t have those files. If you only want the firewall, you can choose to only install the firewall during the normal installation. Just choose the Custom Installation link at the bottom of the installer screen.

yes yes, I know this, but it was only because of the size of the installers in relation to the fact that I dont have much free space. So I wanted to save the smaller installers of the firewall versions.

but thanks anyway

this can not be true… Avast Antivirus detected malware again during the CIS installation :-
see the screenshot…

This is a false positive. Please report it to Avast through the General Contacts link on this page.

Thanks.

how can I (or the Avast people) be sure that this is false positive???

If it was downloaded from a trustworthy site, and is a part of CIS, it is a false positive. All security software sometimes have false positives like this. Sadly, it is common. The best thing to do is to submit the file as a false positive to Avast so they can correct their signatures.

Thank you.
