+1 What I was thinking.
You don’t have to “use” Twitter to see their tweet (if you mean “using” as making an account and tweeting). Their tweet is officially by them, and it’s public.
If you don’t want to accept it, go hide your head in a hole and only consider websites you “use” as okay. All others don’t count. (I didn’t say that.)
Their tweet is as official as a post on their website.
I was just referring to how you stated you can delete the original executable and saying how it would be good if you could delete dropped files via this method too. Wasn’t talking about the test.
Cheers

Is it for me?
He quoted me, so… no
But don’t bother, he didn’t understand what I was saying.
Hi Syl,
No, despite LaserWraith quoted you , as far as I understand, he tried to offend me & captainsticks because of our attitude towards Twitter & Facebook.
We asked & we got or answer.
As for “hiding heads in a hole” - we all do (you are included, LaserWraith) – we are using security (many different layers… not “going” offtopic).
I would not tell you to “go” (rude) anywhere & hiding your head in any hole, but just using your head & think ahead 88) before spitting some words
Cheers!
yea, it was just dumb. I don’t use twitter or facebook, but I understand when it’s interesting to use it.
And in that case, it was interesting. Concise piece of information from the official source, it’s perfect.
Tech did ask that, and we just asked for a copy that is not on twitter. I thought this forum was open for opinions and not twitter is my opinion. Yes some people do care and I don’t appreciate the comment about who cares I found it on the verge of being offensive. I choose what sites my computer goes to. We don’t doubt that Techs question was answered but SiberLynx did just ask a new question on the same subject. Also to LaserWraith we were just having our opinion, I know I’m new to this forum but I am sure it is ok to have an opinion, so as far as opinions go I’m not hiding my head in a hole. Kind regards
If I have taken anyones comments the wrong way I do apologise, but that is the way they came across to me.
“I never use Twitter” was off-topic. “Using that ■■■■” was off-topic aswell.
You don’t have to use Twitter to visit the link. You don’t even need an account to read the tweet.
So what was your point? Bashing Twitter? Useless and off-topic.
I don’t use it (nor facebook) myself, but I don’t need to be righteous about it.
If you want another source, ask AV-test about it, not Melih.
Melih was kind enough to find an official URL for us…

[at] everyone,
There is always room for contrary opinons.
Taken the right way, a contrary opinion makes you re-evaluate your own position.
Please, don’t let a minor clash of opinions escalate into silliness.

Just to clear up my question.
I wont a link outside of Comodo - better if it was from the tester company - to avoid misunderstandings on it being just a “PR link”, i.e., I was looking for a non-Comodo link to avoid users say that I was advertising Comodo and bashing Symantec.
Of course, I would like to use that link outside of Comodo forum and need to be a trustable source.
Sorry if I make any confusion. It was not my intention.
NP. Thanks for the clarification.
At the moment, the only link external to Comodo is AVTs public tweet. I have seen a public posting from AVT that Comodo have signed up for dynamic testing and the results will be available in Jan 20101. I’ll see if I can find and repost the AVT link back here.

here you go http://twitter.com/avtestorg/status/27271591215

it is go here and look at the right http://www.av-test.org/ av-test uses twitter to make announcements. I don’t get why people are having such a hard time about it. If that is what they want to do that is what they want to do.
Hi languy99,
Thanks for the av-test.org link & for replying to my PM
but as I posted - thousands of “at work place” PCs are Globally blocked for using “twitter.com”; “facebook” & alike social sites
That was the main point that kinda caused a “few ripples in the pond” as one very clever mod here said
Anyway: “not to panic”!
All info will be available sooner or later
Cheers!
The only way to get someone to pay attention to me is to insult them. 88)
(Sorry…I don’t quite understand what I wrote anyway. I was hurrying because in any moment my DSL connection would die. :P)
Or do good.

If you don’t understand what you wrote, that may be a hint to think twice before typing once.
To all, please consider how others could interpret your postings before clicking the POST button.

Great to hear that Comodo detected and warned 100% of the threats which is much superior than Norton did. However, according to the result, the Overall Detection, Blocking and Removal (Cleaning) Rate of Comodo was just 53% whereas Norton scored 80%. From the result of Overall Detection, Blocking and Removal (Cleaning) Rate, Norton won Comodo. I have no intention to offense anyone here, I am here is just telling the truth. In my opinion, Comodo did not win Norton in term of the Overall Detection, Blocking and Removal (Cleaning) Rate.
Norton DID detect but let thru malware in…
What it is it good for, absolutely nothing?
Hey, Mr. Symantec user, you’re infected with Win32.Trojan.XYZ but we let malware to infect you, just so you know…
Comodo prevented the infections from happening by sandboxing and restricting access to the system. :-TU
