I didn’t give up on it, I just don’t use avast! anymore, as such I really can’t provide much support for users having issues with the program as the last version I used was 4.6 which by now is likely not used by almost anyone since the new 5.x and 6.x releases.
I still drop by every now and then, I don’t really login too often but I do read the forums occasionally.
