I would give CIS a 3.75. I have always used Comodo Firewall. Always felt my system was pretty safe with it running. But installing CIS has caused me a great deal of hassle. Dont get me wrong, it is a robust product and I do appreciate the effort that has gone into making this available for everyone but these are some of the main issues I had:
Defense+ was on the occasion not starting up at all. It has to take me about 3 or 4 reboots for D+ to come back to life.
cmdagent.exe was always using about 50% CPU. Did everything I could to sort the issue. Changed some my P2P software rules, cleared my firefox cache and no matter what I did, that never changed.
Simple program were being prevented from running. i.e. Revo Uninstaller. When checking the D+ logs, I noticed Revo Uninstaller was being detected as malware. Was not able to find a way to have that changed.
Computer was also locking up more often than not.
I have reinstalled CFP Pro 3 along with Avast for the time being. System is currently running a lot better and a lot more stable. I certainly do hope CIS is fixed as it is certainly a product worth having.
I don’t think this is all Comodos fault. You seem to have a serious problem with your OS. Do you run reg cleaners and if so witch? do you have other security applications installed or have any been installed before installing Comodo? as for programs being prevented to run, did you try training mode? this will get Comodo to learn how the program operates. Am not saying Comodo isn’t somewhat responsible but the problems you explain point to something els also other ppl should have the same/similar problems. (:KWL)
If you want to skip the troubleshooting. Reinstall your OS, install chipset drivers, audio drivers, graphic drivers. and Windows updates. Then install latest CIS. Put it in training mode start installing all applications you normally use (R)
I used the Comodo Firewall for some time, and since a few weeks I was running Comodo Antivirus. Until today, after I clicked on the error box and downloaded CIS.
I think it is a great idea, to merge the firewall and antivirus program. In fact, every antivirus program keeps annoying me with another icon in my taskbar. Just this fact makes CIS > all other solutions.
Ok, I like it But i registered to make a small suggestions to the virus scanner. An added option in the right-click file menu (to scan the selected file(s)) would be nice.
I can give you guys 10 stars, actually. I never have problems with Comodo Fireawall (before CIS); that’s why this reply is my first post after months. Improvement? I like to see Sort method in “Network Security Policy” & “Computer Security Policy” like in “My Pending Files”. The tray icon need access to AntiVirus settings (the latest CIS doesn’t has it). Other improvements? Well I think that’s an everyday jobs for you guys, isn’t it ;p
Improvements: Virus definition updates. And I’m not talking about increasing the malware count but when updating defs finishes show a screen with the details of the definitions added. See superAntiSpyware for example.

I’ve been using CIS for 4 days now and NO problems what so ever, very nice, and light on resources.
Even if CIS works like a charm i do have some improvment suggestions though.
I want to see when the Virus definition updates are released by COMODO. Now you do only see when it was downloaded but not released by comodo. For example if i press the update button then the shown time will change to the time I PRESS the update button, not when the definition was released…
I am used to use kaspersky “kis” that’s why i miss that, watch how they show these times and you understand better (:SHY)
I also want to know how many fingerprints you got in your virus database.
IMPORTANT>>> If not ANTIPHISING, ANTIROOTKIT, SPYWARE, and ADWARE, protection is included then that is
absolutely something that you need to add as soon as possible!
I diden’t find any info about this so i guess these are NOT included at the moment.
Heuristics engine is on it’s way what i have heard :■■■■ thats good to hear.
When you have added these things above then it’s a 10/10 score for me.
3xist , i read the topic about the comodo exploit tools in the wilders forum…
i wonder how u can stay and reply to all those people, i think i got some account but i dont even want to post anything in there.
i never read som many ■■■■ in no time. (except when i read my posts that never end maybe).
