After todays MS Windows update I feel worn out! About a zillion files and prompts to attend to. I think I need to reset my firewall as I am not sure anymore what the correct answers are to all the files in my “files waiting for my review”. I usually purge and then whats left I add to my safe files. Is that about correct?

Hi,
Simply remove (not purge) those files from the list instead of “reset” of firewall.
Ok. (:WAV) So lets say someone (not me of course) has been adding all these files to “My Safe Files” instead of “removing” them. Would it be a good idea to “start over” and if so, how does one reset the firewall as if they just installed it? Is the only way to uninstall and reinstall?? Otherwise, if I added all these files to my safe files is there a way to reset my safe files and start over?
Thanks,

(L) But I hate Windows Super Tuesdays!
That’s why I always do a back-up of the “1st-new-boot-after-update-configurations” of all CFP v3 updates, since beta’s… and yes, I miss some way to edit the rules “off-line” too… a way of being possible to copy only some old rules (few ones) to the new configurations, or at lest, a way to see what were the rules created (instead of reading some previous.made.paper)…
BUT COMODO HAS BEEN, ALWAYS, A GREAT CHOICE! THE MOST CONCISE/VERSATILE AND SECURE.
(========= AND IT’S A FREEBIE!!! WOW!!! ===========)
edit: To do a back-up of the configurations, go to the “Miscellaneous” panel, click on “Settings”, then click on “Export”…“Save as”… the rest of the process is self explained…)
I just un-installed the firewall and then re-installed it. Now I will make an export of the fresh start and go from there.
Thanks,
