How to install Killswitch in CIS 6 "without internet"/Offline

Now that most of the basic functionality of CIS 5 has been replaced by the advanced KILLSWITCH in the new version CIS6(active process list, network traffic list etc.,), it is very hard to live without it.

But, somehow the developers decided not to include it in the installer, they did not provide a separate installer even. (I am not sure, but may be there are some legal issues with it, may be…)

As I see it, the only way to install KILLSWITCH in CIS 6 is through the GUI, via Internet. This makes it impossible to have complete working CIS on offline systems, making the product handicapped.

Can anybody please explain if there is any way to install CCE/KILLSWITCH on an offline system.

Note: The older CCE versions are no longer compatible with new CIS 6 since a lot of things have changed, so I do not think we can use the available CCE 2.5 versions for this purpose any more.

You could just copy the files related to Killswitch from a system on which it’s already running…

Copy from your installed path e.g. - C:\Program Files\COMODO\COMODO Internet Security\

Autoruns.exe
boot.dat
CCE.dll
CCE.exe
CCEImageRes.dll
ccekrnl.dat
dbghelp.dll
EULA_CCE.txt
KillSwitch.exe

You can then run ‘Watch Activity’ from within the main UI or run KillSwitch stand-alone. However, isn’t KillSwitch supposed to be an online type tool…

Thanks for the idea. I will try.

I do not think so…It is the tool which gives most of the information CIS 5 summary screen used to give. It is the tool that allows you to know which processes are “sandboxed/virtualised”.

I think it is therefore a very essential component of CIS.

anyone can upload the following files from your installation files:

Autoruns.exe
boot.dat
CCE.dll
CCE.exe
CCEImageRes.dll
ccekrnl.dat
dbghelp.dll
EULA_CCE.txt
KillSwitch.exe

Thanks very much

Here are the links to the CCE folder archives uploaded to mediafire.

I have copied these archives from latest stable release build of CIS 6 (2774)

CCE_x64.7z (for 64 bit systems)
http://www.mediafire.com/?awsh6ful13b561b
CCE_x86.7z (for 32 bit systems)
http://www.mediafire.com/?evzgb9ci5je3beq

Download archive suitable for your architecture and unzip them to COMODO Program files directory.

Thanks SivaSuresh

all works fine but except for Program Usage Analyzer when I press RUN SCAN, it does not appear anything other. Is the error?

Does not work for me either, may be they have not implemented it yet…

I don’t really use KillSwitch but when I’ve played around with it, I’ve never been able to get this option to display anything.
